  • SEARCA provides opportunities to qualified Southeast Asian nationals to participate and present papers in sustainable agricultural and rural development scientific conferences and fora, locally or internationally.

  • Call for applications for MSc and PhD Scholarship opportunities at the African Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Agriculture and Agribusiness Management - a World Bank sponsored project (ACE - II) in Egerton University.

  • The U.S. Department of State has an open competition to fund projects addressing trans-boundary policy and development challenges in a variety of sectors in the Mekong Basin. Deadline: July 27.

  • The Sofja Kavalevskaja Award will grant a post-doc funding for 5 years to build up a working group and research project at a German Institution of your choice. Only foreign applicants are accepted. Deadline: July 30.

  • The ASEAN Impact Challenge is looking for innovators in Southeast Asia who are accelerating the achievement of SDGs through partnerships and tech innovations. Applications open August 8th. Deadline: September 9.

  • The US department of labor is seeking applications for a grant for its program on Improving the Capacity of Labor and Agriculture Stakeholders to Address Child Labor in Agricultural Areas in Argentina. Deadline: August 27.

  • The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data is funding initiatives for data production, dissemination and use at the pilot and scaling stages. Deadline: August 15.

  • Youth participation for the achievement of UN SDGs is being funded by the King Hamad Award. Deadline: October 30.

  • Submit your proposal on Sustainable agriculture and forestry, urban ecology and ecological restoration for research funding in 2020.

  • New 2030 Agenda Transformation Fund from German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) is seeking submissions from local NGOs and research organizations.

  • Join migration-focused agriculture network: MARIS is a network of researchers and practitioners with a common interest in putting migration at the forefront of the global agricultural research agenda. For info contact
  • Rhodes Scholarships are open to students from anywhere in the world. Applications for 2019 opened July 1 and close by September 30.

  • Fulbright Scholar Program applications are open until August. Non-U.S. citizen can apply through their country Fulbright offices for postdoctoral or flex research/teaching posts.

  • FAO Global Internship, Volunteers and Fellows Programmes is looking for qualified applicants.

  • A course on Landscape Governance for experienced professionals is being offered by Wageningen University. The course dates are from April 1 -12, 2019 and registration for OKP/MENA applicants are on October 16.

  • Rural Poverty and Agriculture Journalism Program is a funded opportunity for someone to attend a workshop and continue to report on small holder farms in their nation.

  • Nominate a project for the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement by September 27. 

  • Nominate a project for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Award for Environmental Management in the Islamic World by December 31.
