Head of Global Communications, Knowledge Management, & Engagement, WLE
Adam Hunt is the head of global communications, knowledge management, and engagement initiatives for WLE, having joined the program in September 2017. Before WLE, Adam worked in Thailand with Internews’ Earth Journalism Network as Media & Communications Director for USAID’s Mekong Partnership for the Environment, where he oversaw strategic communications, a regional network of environmental journalists, and The Mekong Eye. Previously, Adam worked with Internews on the Thai-Burma border, supporting exiled Burmese journalists and political groups in the pre-transition days. Adam has also led programs with the APEC Secretariat in Singapore, Pathways to Education in his hometown of Toronto, and the communications unit of a joint Canada/Brazil governance project. Adam has an MA in Planning (International Development) from UBC, and BA’s in Journalism and Sociology.
